My Story
I’ve always loved airplanes. At the Air Force Academy, I had my first opportunity at the controls (I also parachuted from perfectly good aircraft, but that’s a different story…). Then my dream of becoming a fighter pilot came true with combat service in the F-15. Whether pushing the potential of the jet or my wingmen, I loved the challenge of max performance for a worthy cause. And talk about high-powered, driven teams!
Then I volunteered as a test pilot. That pushed the envelope to a whole new level. Amazing professionals surrounded me as I honed my skills and leadership in a high-stakes environment. The tech wizardry of the stealthy F-22 was made possible by the sweat and sacrifice of supremely dedicated men and women.
It’s all about the people.
That conviction grew as I left the Air Force after 24 years. Many military pilots apply their flying skills to an airline job. But I don’t want to move people from A to B on a map. Instead, I’m committed to help people move from A to B in their life and leadership.
That’s how this jet jockey became an executive coach. It’s as thrilling to see a leader ignite with new insights as it was to light the afterburners and rocket through the sky!
